what does that mean? what does that say about america?
I bet if you ask the other 488 male CEO's they would contribute a good bit of their success to their first CEO, the CEO of their familia, their mother!
Now that statement does not mean that a women's place is as a homemaker, not at all. Some of my biggest influences in the career world have been women. I just don't foresee a huge change in female CEO's anytime soon.
Why you ask?
Groucho Marx once said, "1 out of 1000 men will be great leaders, the other 999 will follow a women."
I believe one of the biggest personality differences between women and men is ego. The male ego controls and/or influences most of his decisions. I believe quite often a women would make a more rational decision when it needs to be made. I believe the ego of the man will also have him inspire to be the top of the food chain, evan at a high cost. That high cost is the sacrifice of missing out on his family. Most CEO's have to be so dedicated to the position that he will miss out on a child's first step, or first word. The luxury of enjoying your family is not there. I feel most women, while they desire to be successful, they have a rational level of success they desire that will allow them to enjoy the best of both worlds.
Anyway, Step one to sAnity: Find a woman, have her help you make decisions..... 999 out of 1000 follow one, so should you.... I will see you from the front...
